I am contemplating how much I should reveal here :O Ooooh, secrecy.
I arrived back home from prom 'bout an hour and a half ago. I've only attended one prom my whole life, but as far as an event goes, it was
awesome. I had a
great time. Seriously. It's not not that great because I didn't capitalize the great. I just don't feel like capitalizing stuff right now.
What played a really big part in me having such a great time was Bryan Wong. My friend-date. :D Oh my gosh, he is like, the
ultimate gentleman. Well, to me anyway.
If I'm not going to marry him and have his babies I need to find, date and marry someone like him. Seriously. I have my standards up SO high right now. Hahaha, call me lovestruck if you want to. I even told my mom about my little crush on him o_o She had better not tell any of her friends about this! She spreads stuff like... fire on base of an oil-covered dehydrated tree!
Mhmm yeah. Let me get straight to the points. Car arrives. Mom opens gate. He walks to the door I exit from to escort me to the car. He opens the door. I get in. He closes door. He gets in from other side. At the table, he pulls out my seat for me. He gets a plate of frutis for... me. And my friends. And himself. I dunno any more.
It may not sound much when I type it all out like this, but if you're a girl like me, and experienced all of that done for you by a guy, you
will be, like, overwhelmed. And feel oh so flattered. And feel like 'How on Earth am I gonna find another guy like this?!' Yup. That is what went/is going through my brain.
Besides my lovely friend-date, my friends! Noy much to say here. They're all such awesome people. At my table was, clockwise, Grace, Wei Lin, Ying Ying, Lay Shang, Sangeetha, Alif, Leanna, Bryan and I. I might've mixed up the order a little, but it's no big deal. Of course, my friends who contributed to the great time I had were not limited to just those siting with me at the table. There are simply too many to name, probably because... it was just about everyone who made the time I spent so great.
Then there were the performances. Surprise, surprise! Never thought that Anthea, May Gee and Hui Jing would dance on stage! They danced to the Korean girl group Wonder Girl's Nobody. The song choice wasn't a surprise though, as they're devoted k-pop fans. Then there was Ming Keat and his Michael Jackson impersonation dance. Gosh, it was good! Like,
really good! Never knew he could do stuff like that. There were other performances as well, like Clement singing and guitar-playing, Victor and Jeremy... with more music, Hui Jing (yes, again) on the piano with one of her favourite songs River Flows With You or something like that, Choon Weng and Yee Ing on the piano with... this
really popular piece which I do not remember the name of, and the traditional Chinese yo-yo performance. I hope I didn't leave anything out.
Aaaand games! Hahaha, this'll be great fun to tell. So! I can proudly say I participated in the first competition held. Woo, yeah! Girls vs Guys. 2 on 2. 2 1.5L bottles of 100Plus. Girls with a 5 second head start. I was first to drink, but the moment the MC called out "1 Mississippi, 2, Mississippi..." I kinda burst out and sprayed... someone/some people. I'm not sure. It was funny, okay! My friend/partner didn't think so, but I did! The competition was still on, so we chugged down the gassy drink. Lost to the boys by like what, 30ml? Okay, people who do not want to read about gross-ish stuff, please jump to the next paragraph. So after the winners were declared, I immediately felt.. something trying to get outta my stomach through the northern exit. Thought it was just wind, y'know. Apparently it was barf. But... it didn't like, taste bad. So I went to the washroom to dispose of what was in my mouth right. But the moment I opened my mouth, everything that was in my stomach all got lurched out. I felt
completely fine. Felt like I was never sick at all. But my breath stunk. Went back to the table with some fruits, the natural... breath fresheners.
At the end of the event, there was a dance off. As with most... events like this. Haha. Had a fun time swinging my head back and forth and back and forth. And swinging my hips back and forth and back and forth. It was just fuuuun. Put your hands in the aaaaair and waaaave and... anything you wanna do. Got a little dizzy, cause the lights were uber dim, but I didn't fall over in my super high heels so everything's all right! ...My heels aren't
that high
and dangerous when compared to other girls'. Still, the tallest heels I've ever worn. Mainly danced with Grace and Petunlia. Somewhere, some time on the dance floor we danced with Farrah, Amalia, Leanna, Hui Jing and Chay Lee. And a few other people here and there.
If you are not interested in a fairly girlish account full of squeals and OMGs and nonsense, the post ends here. If you are, for some reason, interested, read on.Aaaaaaand the slow dance! Wooooooo! Who else would I have slow danced to with other than my friend-date, Bryan? That's a rhetorical question. Don't have to answer that. So. We slow danced. For the second time in... two years! Okay, that doesn't sound like much. BUT LOOK AT IT THIS WAY. I've only ever slow danced twice in my life. And both with him. IS THAT NOT LIKE, FATE? ...Lol kidding. I'm just a schemer. Then again, that's not it either. First was like, coincidence, second was like... accidentally on purpose? Didn't know there was gonna be slow dancing. But it's a prom. I don't know what I was thinking, okay.
SO YEAH WE SLOW DANCED. Teeheehee. It was a little... awkward? But just ever so slightly. Because I am short
/average. And he is tall
/average. Mhmm. Had to stretch to put my hands 'round the back of his neck. Figured that if I moved closer, we wouldn't be comfortable. Personal space, man. So in the end I just sorta left my hands behind his shoulders. You probably don't care about that, anyway. And we talked. The talking was okay. Didn't think it was awkward. I think we were right in front of the speakers though. So we had to lean forward to talk most of the time. Have I mentioned it was uber dim? Rings a bell? Yeah. So when I try to look at him while I talk... or something, it's like 'Can barely see. Is he looking here? OH I THINK HE IS. WHAT NOW.' Hahaha, yuuup. It was just lots of fun.

P.S.
1. Based on the way practically cling on to him (AND ALMOST LITERALLY CLING, IN ONE PICTURE), I am surprised that he still... sorta hangs with me. Not that we do much hanging in the first place. I mean, has he not caught on about my
crush infatuation? Or has he, but is too kind to do anything? A truly kind person then. :o
2. Infatuation: An inside joke with reference to
this post.
3. Pictures coming soon! Gotta
steal get them from my friends first.
