It's A Happy Happy Day
Thursday, March 25, 2010

Well, I think it's mostly due to two factors. They are directly related to each other, and one couldn't have happened without the other. First off, Malay tuition class was canceled! Woo! Okay, so it was actually decided some time ago that it would be off, but I only knew of it in the evening today, after a half a day of dreading it. Secondly, I got my Latin dancing shoes! Yeah! I went to get 'em at the time I was supposed to have tuition. Hah. Happy happy.

I got the same design as Sarah's. It's more comfy, and it looks good, so why not? Anyuway, mom said she would get me a new pair when I get better. Woot! It's two and three quarters of an inch high, I think. I need to practice with 'em! I fail in high heels. Better not fall and... twist my ankle. Perish the thought! It cannot and will not happen!

Oh, and I said I painted blue flowers yesterday right? Yeah well here they are! Mom says she likes the red flowers I drew last time more, but I like these ones. The two following pictures are actually one drawing. On a long sheet of paper. But my hands aren't long enough to hold it far away enough to take a picture of the whole thing, and if I put it on the floor, it'd be overshadowed. So yep. First painting on top, second painting at the bottom of the long sheet of paper. Picture how it looks for yourself!

I know I'm never gonna get there. So why bother deluding myself? Just take another path, on which I'd probably be happier.
Abandon the hopeless route, and take on a whole new one.
It won't be easy turning back to the intersection to walk another path, but it's just something that has to be done one step at a time.
Like everything else.

Busy Busy Me
Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Yeah, I've been up to my neck in stuff to do these days. Haven't gone for tennis for a month now. I seem to have lost my passion for it. I still want to play though, of course. My weekends have just been filled with some other activity or another. Like two Sundays ago, my family and I went to Tanjung Tuan to go bird watching. It's apparently migration season for them. We got there a little late though. Nothing much to see anymore. We still went trekking on the cape. I am not sure if I used the term 'cape' correctly. It's a chunk of land that's jutting out towards the sea and is surrounded msotly by water. So anyway, the trail was 400 metres long, but it sure felt waaaay longer than that. The steps were scary steep! Some of them were like, two feet high. Yeah. We walked all the way down to the beach and water, from waaay over at the top where there was a lighthouse.

I love the beach, don't you?

Honestly, I feel too lazy to blog. So I will try to keep everything as short as possible from here onwards. I will have some pictures up though.

Okay. So. Bird watching. No birds. High steps. Very very tiring. Ate yummy fettuccine at a nearby resort.

Last Sunday, went to Putrajaya. Hot air balloon festival. Wanted to ride on one. Started to rain when we got there. Fail.

Things don't always go as expected.

Last last Saturday, went to Sunway college for actuarial science lecture. Learned that it is very high in demand and in return is very demanding. Saw Hui Jing at the venue. Added Actuarial Science and Computer Science onto my list of possible courses to take. Decided to take A-Levels after next January. Want to take Psychology as a subject, but not sure about mom's say in it.

Hm... Is that it? I think so! Like yay! That was more fun than I thought it'd be. Maybe it's because I didn't talk/type in complete sentences. Let's continue then, shall we?

Attended fourth Latin dance class last Monday. Had fun. Was told I dance like a robot, exactly the same every time. Must have a little variation.

Painted pretty blue flowers today.

Got back a few exam papers. Results not very good, but not very bad either.

Oh yeah! And had Pattaya Fried Rice at some Thai restaurant in Taipan. It looked cute. Cute meaning... not normal and everyday-like. =] I likeh it!

Ah, I forgot to mention Sundae got spayed a couple of weeks ago. Had to wear a cone to stop her from licking the wound and stitches.

Ain't she adorable?

Look for the light. It is there where you will find happiness.

Second Class
Monday, March 8, 2010

If you think about it properly, the title of this post can mean two things. For some people it may be obvious, and for others it may not. I'm not gonna explain though, too lazy to. Just wanna say that it represents both the meanings it brings.

I just had my second Latin dancing class earlier this evening. Again, it was pretty fun. No funny music this time though. There was way more people this time compared to last week. I think one of the girls brought in her friends and/or relatives. There are little kids now too!

We did a little bit of revision on the steps we learned last week, and learned some new steps as well. The routine is now longer, and takes up more space. I have to cram myself in my room now. My room has just enough space for the steps from last week, and so from now onwards I have to squeeze my steps to make it all fit. Weeell, beggars can't be choosers. I'll take what I can, which is the space in my room.

I haven't gotten high heels yet, and I realised that I'm not in that much of a rush to get a pair. My friend isn't getting hers yet, and so I don't feel the need to get them so soon. She's going somewhere to get hers (where it's supposedly cheaper), so I'm going to tag along when she does go shoe hunting. Can't wait to see though. I may not be in a rush, but nothing's stopping me from feeling excited.

Sarah (the friend I was talking about in the previous paragraph) and I danced together for fun after class. She danced the guy's steps while I danced the girl's. It's kinda basically the same though. It's just in reverse. Our instructor sounded surprised when he found out she knew how to do the steps, and asked us to enter a competition. Hardy har har! Not happening. We just finished our second class! And neither Sarah nor I want to dance the guy's steps. Not because it's too difficult or too easy or because it might mess up our steps altogether, but because we don't want to dress the part. If I've not mistaken, the one playing the guy would have to put on something akin to a tux and have their hair tied up into a neat and not to mention really tight looking bun. Yeaaaah, that doesn't sound very appealing to either of us. Oh, and I just realised! When either of us wear heels, we would be taller than the other. A shorter guy and taller girl just doesn't look right dancing. Not that I have a problem with a boy being with a girl taller than him, but why go through with it when it can be avoided right?

Now for sad/happy news. Kinda sad, kinda happy. Was initially happy, but for the this post, it's sad. There's no class next week. So sad, right? I know! It's because there are five Mondays this month, and we pay for four classes a month. They've picked on next week because us school students have our holidays then. Awwww, I feel even more sad just thinking about it. Must think happy thoughts! Uh, high heels for class the week after! Yeaaaah!

You. Get into my head right this instant!

Students x Dying = StuDying
Friday, March 5, 2010

Guess what! Yesterday, I went to sleep at eight-ish in the evening, then woke up at about two-ish in the middle of the night. Proceeded to do my homework for an hour or so, and went back to sleep at around four. Got up at six thirty for school. Am I not amazing? :D

Well actually that was all I wanted to say, but since I'm here anyway I'll tell you about my violin class today. Surprisingly, it was really really fun! Like, lotsa smiles and laughter. It's usually just a smile to show I'm content and not frustrated and another smile while I thank the teacher for the lesson.

I played new songs today, which were cool. A little trip down memory lane. There was this song I haven't heard since I was a little kid. I don't remember the title exactly, but it had something to do with the teaching the world music or how to sing or something. And then I played the song from Fiddler On The Roof! Dad absolutely loves that show/song/tune, so I was enthusiastic when I got to play it. There were a couple of other songs which brought joy to myself and apparently my teacher as well. She thought the songs (like the one from The Fiddler On The Roof) sounded funny (not weird kinda funny, but funny funny) and smiled and laughed. As you should know, smiles and laughter are indeed contagious and the room somehow lighted up. Figuratively, of course.

That's all then! I've lost my mojo to write right now. So I shall stop. Yeah.

It's not my fault my eyes follow your moves.

On The 1st of March
Wednesday, March 3, 2010

I attended my very first Latin dance class. It was pretty nice. Uh, the instructor is a little young though. A mere twelve months elder than me. Yeaaaaah. But he's started learning how to dance since he was 10! ...Give or take a year. He said he's been learning or dancing for seven years. Do the math.

Well, Latin dance is just about always performed in high heels. But us new students weren't sure if normal heels were okay. So we wore sneakers. Turns out that we weren't allowed to wear shoes in the dance room. Sooo we danced barefoot. The instructor's assistant wore her dancing heels though, and that's fine. Apparently it's tougher to dance without heels than with heels. Which I find really surprising because I'm pretty sure I'd fall or at the very least wobble a lot when I put on heels.

The auntie there had a pair or two of proper dancing shoes/heels for us to see, and perhaps buy. Gosh, I never knew such shoes were so expensive! About RM200 a pair... That's definitely gonna create a hole in my pocket. Or whoever's pocket. I thought that maybe they were just selling at high prices, so I took a look around to see the average prices of such shoes. Unfortunately for me, that price is completely reasonable. Yuppers, it is. I'm hoping my mom will decide to buy it for me next Monday from the auntie. I can't wait to try dancing with proper shoes on!

Here's to adding another item to my list of achievements and capabilities! Cheers!
