Came back from the dinner. Gooosh, the arrangement of events were ridiculous! They put the sport with the most categories first, and the least the last. The swimming sport had like a gazillion medals to hand out, while the tennis only had four. But they didn't put tennis up first; no siree, they didn't! Instead, we had to have a bit of dinner, watch the swim team dance to High School Musical's 'We're All In The Together' and observe a really lame magician do his tricks.

The HSM dance gave me a major deja vu feeling. Especially the ending! They lifted up a little girl up into the air, almost exactly like the routine I was in about two years ago? And the song and dance totally reminded me of Cassie's party. I remember her dragging everyone up to their feet to dance in her living room. As for the the magic show, gosh, it really was really lame. Nothing to put me in a state of awe. The only interesting part of it was Mandy being selected to go up on stage to have her palm disconnected from her forearm. Like, there was this knife which easily sliced through a cucumber, and she had very much reluctantly/was tricked into putting her hand through the hole. Swooosh, the knife swung around and her arm was perfectly fine. The trick wasn't the one that amused me. It was my friend participating in it. She tried to turn around when the magician was looking for a volunteer and he saw her turn away xD So he specifically chose her. According to Mandy, she saw someone and I turn away and so she tried to follow suit. Apparently she was too slow xD

Mandy has pictures of the evening and I have pictures of her on stage. We're both too lazy. Later, then.

I forgot that I went to Sunway Pyramid this morning. How could I? Anyway, I got my hair cut :] Which means I ended up not going to watch my friends play. I'm sure you played good, but seriously, chill, Seb! Getting 'angry' as you said because you gave Raj a handicap of one game is lame :o So. Congratulations Colin (though you're not exactly on my good side right now for... some reasons) for getting the gold, Raj for getting the silver, and Laviniya and Shi Yeen (hope that's how your name is spelt) for getting the bronze. Back to Sunway. So I got back my usual fringe/bangs. Yay! I love them <3 I look like a doll again ♥ Or so Michelle said. Eh eh back to Sunway again! I watched Night At The Museum 2. It was quite nice. On par with its prequel to me.

Note to self: Bring along racket, shoes and socks every time you go to the tennis courts. Doesn't matter if you think it's gonna be fully booked or what. Just bring them, or you'll regeret it.

I get addicted to stuff so easily. I can't help but loooove good music.

From three o'clock today until half past ten, I've been at the club. Watching my friends participate in the club's tournament. It was sad not being able to play. I cheered them on though. Today I realized that I'm not good at playing at all. I thought to myself, "If I went up against him/her, I would've lost". I would've lost to a lot of people there. Shows just where I stand. I needed that reality check.

I am currently having a dilemma. To go watch my friends play again tomorrow morning or not to go? I really want to be there for my friends, but then again I really want to have my hair cut as well. At the moment, my decision is to go support my friends, and hope that mom will let me have my hair cut somewhere nearby some time soon in the near future.

P.S. I just watched the It's You MV again, and the lyrics get me every time. Gooosh, so touching and it strikes me right in the heart. My heart feels hurt.

Disappointing, really. Lost 4-8 to a ten year-old boy, Brandon. Well, I was down 15 every game as a handicap but still. His backhand wasn't that good, and apparently mine wasn't either. I kept trying to aim for his left side so the chances of him messing his shot up was higher. I kept being a game behind him in the start. But near the end, I don't know what happened. He suddenly played smart. And I played dumb. I think I was too focused on the ball to notice.

Sigh.

Oh well. What's done is done. All I can do now is improve everything I can. I wasn't completely disappointed in how I played. I thought I did well. At some parts. The other parts, well, let's just say I could've done better. I blame coach for me not having a good backhand stroke =P Just kidding, I didn't mean it! Uh, for the most part anyway.

Mom said I didn't improve since I started, which is a total lie! I told her she's never seen me play an actual game before but she objected. I continued by stating the last time she's actually seen me play tennis at all was last year when she too played. I asked her if I could join private lessons, and she didn't allow me to. I don't blame her, it's expensive. I kept on whining and talking (in an accusatory tone) to her that because the Sunday's class was the beginner's class, I couldn't improve much. In the end, (after a lot of thinking- and maybe guilt- on her part) she said she'd let me join the more advanced Saturday class on the condition that I wear long sleeves. No problem!

You're so considerate, mommy ♥ I totally completely appreciate the fact that you are willing to sacrifice my complexion so that I may improve my tennis play.

Now all that's left to do is tell Mandy and Michelle that I have to hitch a ride with them to the courts and they can hitch one back from us. I know (or hoping that) Mandy will read this. Let's see how long it takes til she finds out =]

Recently the air's been nice and clean. Well, as clean as it used to be before the haze arrived, which isn't that clean but you get what I mean. And now all my pimples are gone 8] Except for one or two persistent ones, but it's a major improvement.

Got fourth place in class. Not all that happy, but I can safely say I'm not disappointed in myself. Just gotta study harder. All that's left to do is search for my willpower. I guess volunteering for physics and chemistry tuition earns me brownie points. Wasn't happy with my English essay though. Was very very tempted to ask my teacher to lower my marks. It was sooo boring. I wonder what he saw in it.

Elwin's right; Tennis is my passion. Just like how the gym is his ;] Even when I've just finished playing tennis, I want to play more. It's a natural affinity I just discovered not too long ago.

Everyone at school's talking about watching movies, especially Transformers 2. I'm not much into movies, so I can't say I'm as excited as they are, but I am excited for them. Their excitement rubs off on me xD If anyone's going out and need someone to go with them, call me! ;D

...Just kidding. I'd rather go play tennis.

I don't belong to any group at school specifically. I drift from place to place, and sometimes I just get tired of it. Sometimes, I feel like a third wheel when I'm with a group people. Feel like I'm in the way.

I thought I'd have lots to write about, but those lines just about summed it all up.

That rhymes more than rain does. Anyway, the haze is killing- no, murdering- no, massacring the skin on my face. Actually, make that massacred! I can't stand all these red spots on my face. Usually when you talk to people, it's their face you look at, you know! This might sound vain and self-centered and stuff, but it's only natural to start caring when our appearances start changing. Like the wise ol' Michael said, "Appearances play a big role in tennis. It determines your confidence level." Well, I'll say! School may not be tennis, but I'm thinking I need more confidence to face what- five hours?- of school a day than three hours of tennis on court.

Okay, enough about myself. AAAAAAHHHH, SCHOOL IS REOPENING TOMORROW! Can you believe it?! I can't! I can so wait to go to school again. Can I not attend school but tuition instead? They're less formal and more friendly. And, there are less homework. Oh no, I just remembered (for what could be the third or fourth time today) that I'd be getting my marked exam papers tomorrow! I am so not ready for this.

...Someone take me away and save me from all this, please.

Note to self: Good job in tennis today! You played not good, but it wasn't bad! Be proud of yourself. Although you didn't reach the goals set, you got close to it and gave it your (almost) best. You're gonna do better next week, and the week after that!

People reading this, for your information I am not insane. This is a great way to motivate yourself. Mandy, this is how my happy pills work =]

Even the dentist! As you all know, I wear braces. Earlier today, I went for the brace-check as I do every month. Last month, the dentist had said that there is a slight possibility that I could take them off this month. Of course I want my braces off, but there's no real rush and I'm not completely desperate or anything to get them off. But anyway, my mom wanted me to tell the dentist to let the braces be for a couple more months because of this rumor that's been going around.

Apparently, someone I know had her braces taken off and her teeth became crooked. Let's call her X. Yeah, so X's mom kinda like blamed the dentist for her daughter's teeth-crookedness. The thing is, it wasn't the dentist's fault. Firstly, X and her mom had asked the dentist to take the braces off early. The dentist had insisted repeatedly that she should still have them on, but they wanted it off. So fine, it was off. Secondly, X only had braces put on for her top row of teeth. For braces to be fully effective, braces should be put on both the top and bottom row of teeth. The interlocking of the teeth when we keep our mouth closed ensures that the teeth do not go back to their original positions. So if you only correct the top row, it's still gonna get influenced by the bottom row and go crooked again. Third, the dentist had insisted every month that X have two of her teeth extracted. But she was afraid and firmly stated that she didn't want to undergo the teeth extraction. Her mom backed her up. Without the teeth extraction, her teeth are kinda like jutting out. The dentist has told me that every time she goes for a review, he is not happy with her teeth, which is pretty much his work. The teeth he had worked on for so many months was not up to par for him. Also, she didn't wear her retainers two weeks after she got them. Obviously her teeth was going to get out of place!

But I mean, everything's alright if X is happy and everything's well, but rumors had flown around. Bad rumors. The dentist is like, getting bad publicity, because of people saying the dentist had removed it too early and thus the teeth had moved and became crooked. X's telling the dentist she's very happy with her teeth though. Who knows except for herself if she's telling the truth or telling lies? Come on, who ever that started that rumor, why start that rumor?! I am pretty pissed off, frankly. Who ever this person is, she (I'm sure it's a she. It's gotta be either X or her mom.) is just plain self-absorbed and selfish. Now I I have put up with the braces for a longer amount of time because of this. But anyway, I told the dentist he should take my braces out whenever he thinks the time is right. Someone with expertise in this field is surely more trustworthy than some stupid person who's spreading clearly false rumors.

If you're X, which I am sure doesn't read this blog anyway, well, keep quiet and don't say I'm the one saying false stuff now.

On a happier and less angst-ridden note, I am going to wear my braces' elastics as often as I possibly can, in hopes of getting it off next month, before the Bon Odori :D C'mon teeth, move it move it!

P.S. As much as I love you mom, I'm going against your orders and getting these braces off as soon as they're ready!

Still, tennis on Wednesday morning is on! And as for the Pyramid on Thursday, still need transportation and be back by evening. Tuition starts at 8.30, I think.
