Hello! I have returned from China three days ago. Sorry for not appearing sooner, but I
have been a little tired. I would write about my trip, but I had just returned from an after-Christmas event and I don't want any of my memories about it go missing while I still have a chance to jot it all down.
When it just started, the fun level was simply passable. My friends and I talked, talked, and talked. And ate. The food wasn't half bad. But after eating, we had nothing to do. And nothing to talk about either. We went to the porch and set on this mini-ledge. Swinging my legs over the edge, I barked at the two dogs several feet away in an attempt to communicate with them. They did reply, though I didn't understand.
Then, I racked my brain for something else to do. I then started to sing to my friends and myself. Off tune-ish, of course. To make myself appear slightly crazy and/or drunk. Don't be mistaken, I tried hard to make myself look that way. It's fun. I also did it in an attempt to ward of these bunch of elder-looking guys that were around, also attending the party. Mostly for fun though, acting drunk and all. But hey, you didn't need to know that. What you do need to know is I fear (ever ever ever so slightly) guys. Doesn't bug me though. Honestly it doesn't! Well, my friend's dad
did say I was acting like a drunk girl. I answered saying I was drunk on boredom. Which at that point was positively true.
Hm... I think I was staring blankly into space at that time when this guy came up to the three of us and started a conversation.
See, I mentioned you in here, Wai Meng! Feel happy! I don't this often either. Be grateful! =P We all started chatting and we seemed to get along great. I mean like
really great! Maybe it was cause he had so much to tell and we had nothing else to do. Uh actually, my friends and I said a lot of stuff too. It was a... four... five... more than that? way conversation! Not just a simply one-way or two-way convo.
At one point (after an endless amount of babbling from almost everyone), I had to go back home. One of my brothers weren't coming with us though. Naturally, I objected going home. I was having fun talking and joking around with my old and new friends. In the end, it was decided that my brother, friends and I would go home at twelve. That worked for me! We had an hour. We talked some more. And played cards; bluff. It was hilarious the way no one trusted another.
And lastly, we played truth or dare. The first two spins landed on me. Just my luck really, though I didn't mind one bit. Sportsmanship, that's what I have! The sixteen-year-olds thought the normal dares I did was a little difficult, but I had fun doing them. I don't know if I actually have any dignity in me. Yes I do I'm sure, it's probably just that it's ridiculously stubborn and won't be kicked down. Aaaanyway! The first dare was to go up to this guy, put my hand on his shoulder, look into his eyes and sincerely say he has beautiful eyes. That was exactly what I had to do and shamelessly did, if my memory serves me right. The second dare took much more bravery which I know resides in me. I was to stand outdoors and scream to the sky (and the fellow truth-or-darers) about the love I felt for my country. After the yelling, I must say I felt good about myself and a wide smile formed on my lips.
During our game, there was an uncle nearby singing karaoke. He did the twist and we kinda laughed a little. I cheered him on and kinda twisted as well in my sitting position. Think it looked more like I was preparing for stretching exercises.
...Come to think of it, I think I was the only one who did dares. Shoot. The rest of them just chose truth. I just realized that. Oh well. No regrets!
Have I mentioned that 'shoot' is my new, fun curse word? The word itself is not foul at all yet with my vivid imagination I imagine it as so and have fun using it. Applause for myself, please! There goes my ego again. An ego the size of Jupiter.
